This morning I was the first one up in the house and it was so quiet. I got on my running shoes and ran to Jo and Val's place at 7:30am so I could say goodbye and wait with them at the bus stop for the airport bus. It was sad to say goodbye, but I know they will have the time of their lives in Paris! We have done so many things these past two weeks with them in Granada: tapas, Nerja, Alhambra, Sierra Nevada Mountains, shopping, Mirador...and I hope they had a wonderful time. Seemed like they enjoyed it a lot :)
After saying goodbye, I ran home and got started packing some last minute things. The only way I could fit everything would be to wear my short boots on the plane. I'm hoping it won't be too warm back home or else I'll be too hot! But, it was the only way I could fit everything in my luggage.
Marisa had changed our rooms around at the beginning of the week so now our room has a bunk bed and then my bed. Before it was just Matthew and I's beds. Really looks quite different!

The whole morning while I was packing Happy kept me company. I'm not sure if she understands that I am packing up and leaving soon, but she kept wanting me to play and was putting her red heart toy in my suitcase about every five minutes.
How could I resist this cute face?? I will miss the dogs :(

At noon, a new student in the SOL program arrived, Angela from Texas! We were able to talk and hang out a while before lunch, then Angela took a siesta, and at about 6pm, our second new student arrived, Heather, also from Texas! All three of us are sharing a room for the next two days...and then I leave! They both seem very nice :) Angela is here for only one month and Heather will be here for three.
When we were finished eating dinner, Marisa (host sister), Angela, Heather, and I went out to walk around town for a bit. We even stopped at Los Italianos for my last time! Such tasty gelato :)

During our walk, we ran into a procession with a ton of people and two ENORMOUS bulls. I have never seen such animals so thick and huge! Only in Granada.
We also stopped to see the Alhambra all lit up at night. What a beautiful site! Pictures don't do justice.
I think us four were all pretty tired because on the way home we all pretty much walked in silence. I'm sure Angela and Heather were both extremely tired from the past two days of flying...I remember how exhausted I was my first day in Granada after three flights. On the walk back home I just kept thinking about how tomorrow is my last day. This would be my last time walking through the city, seeing these beautiful buildings and sites....I was just looking around and soaking it all in. Today I've been thinking a lot about leaving, and I wasn't exactly sad like I was at the beginning of the week. I am just so happy to get home and share all of my experiences with family and friends...and hopefully continue speaking Spanish!
What an adventure :)
PS. Today for lunch we had fried fish, something I had requested for my last week!
