Sad to say that when we woke up this morning the weather was cool, gloomy, and gray. Not a good beach day at all. We had already bought our bus tickets to leave Nerja at 7pm, but decided to head to the ticket booth in Nerja to see if we could change them for an earlier bus because the weather was not looking promising. So we packed up our things, checked out of our hostel and were able to change our bus tickets to 2:30pm for only 2 euros extra. So, we had about an hour and a half to until our ride.
We sat by the famous overlook for a while, reading, watching, and listening to the waves. Even on a gloomy day, it's such a beautiful city. And, we've barely heard any Spanish all weekend! There are so many tourists here in Nerja, we heard a lot of English, French, Australian, and German.

We stopped quick to have a ham and cheese crepe, and then at 2:20pm we were off on the bus to Granada. I barely slept last night, not exactly sure why, so I basically slept the whole ride back to Granada...but at least it made the time pass quicker. Once we made it back to Granada, where it was sunny but still a little cool, we went back to Jo and Val's place so they could get some laundry started. Then, we had a schwarma for dinner and had a little picnic by the park next to my house.
After we were done eating dinner, we finally did something special we had been wanting to do all week. We added our locks to the railings in Parque Federico Garcia Lorca!!
Since day one of being in Granada, Matthew and I have noticed that people have put up love locks, just like in Paris. Not as many, but every week there are more and more. So Jo made one for her and Joey, Val made one for her and Tom, and I made one for Matthew and I. Something fun and special to do!
So happy that Granada will always have a piece of Matthew and I's heart :) We have grown so much these past nine months in our relationship and have spent so much time in this beautiful park. We can't wait for what the future holds!
