Today we spent the whole morning hiking in the Sierra Nevada Mountains, in Los Cahorros. What a beautiful place! I've been here probably six times now, but I just love it :) Nice to get out of the city and get some fresh air every once in a while. The weather was perfect, we had a picnic up high overlooking the mountains, and I only saw about twenty lizards this time :P
(I'm not a big fan of reptiles!)

After hiking, we at lunch, came back to Jo and Val's house, and all took a siesta for a few hours because....we would be going to the Arabic Baths tonight!!! SUCH A GREAT EXPERIENCE! And perfect after a long day hiking. The Arabic Baths are just so hard to describe, but Matthew and I had been two times before....so relaxing. You get to drink unlimited tea, get an oil massage, relax in the baths or steam rooms. What could be better? You are supposed to go from the warm water, to hot, to cold, then steam room. There was hardly anyone that would come to the cold because well...it's freezing, but that was my favorite one! After the hot, I would just dunk in the cold and sit there for about five minutes. A little crazy, but once my whole body was under, I actually didn't feel very cold. It was just so refreshing. Jo and Val absolutely loved the baths!! :)
Other fun (or funny) things that we did tonight after the baths. Well...Jo figured out how to use the public bathrooms. In Granada there aren't public bathrooms around to use and if you want to use a bathroom at a restaurant or bar, it's very rude if you don't buy something. So, for 30 cents, she tried out the Spanish equivalent to a "porta potty." Although, it was much nicer and had a sink and everything. It was just too funny!
Tonight, we also made our way to POE's, for what would be Jo and Val's last time there (maybe mine, not sure if I'll be able to hold off, might have to come Thursday or Friday before I leave!)
As always, the tapas are delicious and the conversations with Matthew and Ana (the owners) and always very funny. I will for sure miss this place!! :) I just wish I knew the recipes...Ana is a great cook!

To end the night, we stopped for one last time at the 1 euros shots bar. I had been saving the blue tickets all year (when you get a shot you get a blue ticket) and I had about 30! That doesn't mean I've taken 30 shots, but friends have given me a bunch of them because they knew they wouldn't be here long enough to get a prize. Well, I've been here nine months so I finally had enough to choose a prize. So, I chose a bag because it folds up small and I can fit it in my suitcases. Seems like it would come in handy at some point. None of the gifts were too crazy, but it was free :)
So, what a busy day, we are all exhausted!!! Tomorrow is their last full day in Granada. Thursday morning they leave and are off to Paris for a few days :) Lucky girls!
